The full details of the National Plant Specification are available by picking 'NPS' from the top bar menu or by picking 'National plant spec' from the side menu.

NPS Information Centre

The NPS Information Centre is fully indexed and provides the full description of specification terms for each of the defined NPS plant classes (Trees, Shrubs, Conifers, Climbers, Bamboos, Herbaceous plants and bulbs, Wildflowers). Pick on any of the hyperlinked items to display the full text information and illustrated specification details.

Specification terms

The listed description of specification terms are specific to the defined NPS planting classes (i.e. ‘Clear stem height’ applies to ‘Trees’ and ‘Minimum number of breaks/branches’ applies to ‘Shrubs’).

The Summary page displays a tabulated view of the description of specification terms.  GoHelios members are able to print NPS Summary page details for reference as required.

NPS Plant List

Picking Plant list from any of the NPS plant class lists, displays the associated species list in the GoHelios Plant Selector. From here, GoHelios members are able to view plant characteristic information and create/save user-defined planting lists by selecting plants to add to the current ‘palette’.
